About
Lukas Petrikas has worked with start-ups for much of his career, before becoming an investor with Mokafund in early 2024. During his years in leadership roles at one of the world’s largest stock market operators – HKEX – Lukas built various mega-scale platforms that remain active and successful to this day. These include the IPO system of Hong Kong (FINI), as well as the pre-eminent investment channels that connect Chinese domestic capital markets with international investors (Stock Connect and Bond Connect). Prior to HKEX, Lukas was an M&A investment banker at Rothschild, focused on bank bailouts and restructurings in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, including working on rescue programmes in the Netherlands, UK, Finland, Denmark and Ireland. Lukas remains an active adviser to corporates, VCs and students on various capital markets topics.
